Tile & Grout Cleaning
All types of floors need to be regularly cleaned and maintained. Cleaning of floors on a regular basis can create improvement in the following areas:
Health of occupants as cleaning will maintain and/or improve an environmental air quality.
Prolonging the life of the floor covering.
Retention of appearance or improvement in appearance of floor covering that can be greatly affected by the lack of maintenance or improper maintenance.
Creation of safe environment for occupants as improperly cleaned or not cleaned floors can contribute to slips and falls.
Floor maintenance can be divided into basic categories, which are:
Initial cleaning, this is done immediately following installation of hard flooring. This cleaning is a very important part of the hard floor maintenance program. It gives us the ability to remove manufacturing residues and properly prepare the floor covering for usage and a maintenance program.

Routine cleaning, is done on a regular or daily basis. It involves vacuuming or sweeping, light mopping and removal of all accidental spills. The purpose of a routine clean is to remove as much dirt and grit as possible.
Periodic cleaning is maintenance cleaning, which is done on a regular basis depending of floor usage, personal requirements, and specifications. It includes vacuuming or sweeping, dry mopping, damp mopping, scrubbing, buffing, polishing and burnishing.
Restorative/Salvage cleaning is done when the hard floor is showing signs of wear and/or damage. It includes stripping, re-sealing and re-coating.
Most hard floors are coated with polish. Polish can either by applied by floor manufacturer or by a cleaning professional.
Hard floors are coated in polish so that they look shiny, it makes them easy to clean, an it protects the floor.
